Trained as a classical and jazz trumpetess from the age of 10, I was performing regularly at Carnegie Hall by age 16 with the Youth Symphony of NY. I studied at Potsdam, Eastman and Berklee before heading off to Indiana University. My primary teacher was Paul Famiglietti.
From 1987-2008 I lived in the NYC area and produced music and events with the goals of community building, igniting new talent and sharing exceptional creativity with the world.
In addition to producing my own music, I performed extensively with Moroccan, Haitian, Caribbean, Klezmer and African musicians, eventually diving completely into improvisational music.
I am a now a multimedia artist, using words, music & visuals to share messages of Inspiration & Divine Connection.
My older music – trumpet / world music / improvisational projects – are available for purchase on Bandcamp including Le Collage C’est Fou!!, Mahjoun Gnawa Jazz, Out da Concrete.
Much of my composed music from this century has been set to images/video and can be found on my two YouTube channels: Electricmeg and AquarianMe.

I am now producing music using AI in a love/hate relationship. AI is the greatest tool imaginable for music and multimedia production, yet it creates eliminates opportunities for musicians who literally sweat blood & tears for their art, not to mention many other negative repercussions. I continue to grapple with the ethics of AI. Absolutely, it can never replace the thrill of live music or the incredible human journey that learning & playing music offers.
